About the event
Is Ozempic changing the way we think about health, beauty, and body size, or is it just diet culture in a new prescription bottle? Join us for a candid conversation about fatness, diet culture, and the myths we’ve been told about weight and health. Drawing on personal experience and a medical humanities perspective, we’ll question what it really means to be “healthy,” explore the social pressures surrounding our bodies, and get creative with some anti-diet culture collaging. Come for the conversation, stay for the art!
The PopCULTURE Lounge is a space to discuss, explore, appreciate & think critically about what’s happening in pop culture today. Join us twice a month for snacks, drinks, and great conversation!
